Step-by-step guide: How to properly collect bath water samples
The quality of your bath water plays a crucial role in the health of users – whether in a public swimming pool, a wellness facility, or in the private sector. Correct sampling is therefore mandatory to obtain reliable results. 1. Preparation of sampling
Before you begin sampling, label the sample container with the following information:
Name of the sampling location
Date and time of sampling
Important:
Disinfect before each sampling:
The outer surface of the sample container
Your hands or gloves
2. Sampling of bath water
For precise analysis, proceed as follows:
Select a location Select a point approximately 50 cm away from the pool edge.
Set the depth Submerge at a depth of 10–30 cm.
Mind the position Avoid areas near a jet or pool inlet.
Sample collection - Hold the sample container horizontally under water. - At the desired depth, turn the container vertically until enough water has flowed in (do not fill to the brim). - This technique prevents the de-foamer contained in the container from being rinsed out.
3. Sampling of shower water
Open the faucet
Set the water temperature (A comfortable 30–40 °C is ideal.)
Account for the initial flow Let the water run beforehand until it matches normal usage – similar to how users adjust the flow before showering.
Set the flow rate The shower spray should also correspond to normal everyday use.

To ensure your samples are analyzed correctly and promptly, please follow these instructions:

Please preferably deliver water samples on Mondays or Tuesdays.
For deliveries on other weekdays or before public holidays, a phone call is necessary.
If results fall outside legal requirements, we will notify you immediately by phone – provided your phone number is provided in the form.
